The Study of YRE in Riverton

The study of year round education in Riverton began in December of 1998. The learning community spent around 18 months researching the impact that the new more balanced calendar would have on the school district and the supporting community. The following three links provide the YRE goals that were established, the timeline that was followed and a complete copy of the steering committee report. The steering committee report was completed by a board-appointed committee who took over six months of research to compile the report. The study of YRE concluded when the Board of Education voted in September, 2000 to implement a year round calendar and supporting programs in the 2001/2002 school year.
