I would like to welcome back parents and students alike to another school year at RMS!  We are looking forward to another successful year with our students.  Meet your teacher night for 5th and 6th grade students is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.  7th and 8th Grade Meet Your Teacher Night is scheduled for Thursday, July 31st from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.  Parents and students should assemble at 6:00 PM in the middle school gymnasium for a brief presentation from Mr. Lamkey and Mr. Koerwitz.  After the principals presentation, parents and students will head down to classrooms to meet with teachers and see the students rooms.

This is a great time to say hi to your students new teachers and put a name with a face!  If you have any questions, Mr. Lamkey and Mr. Koerwitz will also be available.

If you are unable to attend the Meet Your Teacher night, please call your child's grade level teachers during their team time.  All teachers are available during these posted times.  Team times are as listed:

  • 5th Grade - 10:12 to 10:45
  • 6th Grade - 9:28 to 10:10

Mr. Lamkey and Mr Koerwitz will be discussing the following topics:

  • Avoiding Tardies - The school doors open at 7:30 and students need to be in their classroom seats prior to 7:55.
  • Getting Involved - Involved students are good students
  • Dress Code - Please review the student handbook in the student planners.
  • Skyward - Call the middle school office for details.
  • Absences - call them in by 9:00 AM and parents may excuse up to 10 days without a doctors excuse.
  • Cell Phones - students may have them at school as long as they are not camera phones.  Cell phones should be shut off and remain in a students locker or book bag at all times during the school day.
