Progress on the Playground!

I know that it may be a big surprise, but a welcome one…. There is progress on the elementary playground – YAY! This summer, we have seen many improvements to the playground. There have been designated areas created for various ages, wood chips added, musical instruments added, old equipment re-installed, new equipment, benches and trees. The kids will be excited and have so much fun when they come to school this year. In addition to what has been done, we are expecting some additional equipment: a shade structure – tent, picnic tables, spring riders, log roll, balance beam and tire run! What a great place to play!
A special thanks to many people for making this happen. Our custodians, Bob Thixton and Doug Brown worked their hearts out to help with installation. We also had donations from Hilltop Nursery, Van Huss Custom Concrete, Janet and Gene Ireland, Jo and Anthony Ireland, John Kaylor and two anonymous donors in order to have the trees planted on the playground! Thank you everyone for doing this for our kids!
