TODAY'S LUNCH SPECIAL:  Beef Ravioli, green beans, pears and milk.

 

CALENDAR OF EVENTS: - Thursday-Boys Soccer home against Springfield @ 4:00pm. Fr Football @ Staunton, 6:15pm.  Volleyball-@ Kincaid, 6:15pm. Cross Country @ Springfield Lutheran, 4:00pm Friday-  VAR Football home against Williamsville @ 7:00pm. SGA Blood Drive @ RHS, 8:30-2:30pm. SATURDAY-Boys Soccer TBA.  Cross Country @ Rochester, 10:00am.

Trivia question:  What is the name for the science or study of plants?

FOUND:  Silver heart shaped locket and necklace was found.  Silver bracelet was found. Girls silver heart ring, also found.  Set of keys on a key chain. Must identify items to claim, in main office. 

 

Wood Bat League playing schedule for September 5. The Riverton JV team will play at 10:00 am, Varsity will play at 2:00pm. Same arrangements as week one. Call Coach Jagodzinski 801-5086 with questions.

 

Attention Golf Team Members:  Practice today is cancelled.  JV is at Shambollee tomorrow vs. Plains and Auburn at 4:00.  Van leaves at 2:45--players are to be dismissed from class at 2:35.

 

Congratulations to the new NHS officers, stop by and see who won, and re-vote for the positions of Secretary and President. Both positions were tied!!!!!!!!!

 

There will be a TADAA meeting TODAY, during 8th hour for anyone interested in joining this year.  TADAA stands for Teens Against Drugs and Alcohol-join your peers and take a stand!  Any band student interested in joining, see Mrs. Campbell.

 

Art Club is meeting TODAY during 8th hour.

 

Any Junior parent that would like to be on the After Prom Committee and help to plan this event, please come to the RHS cafeteria Tuesday, September 7th at 6:00pm.

 

Student government has begun planning this year’s homecoming events and would like your input.  Please join us during 8th hour Friday in the auditorium to hear our ideas and share yours.

JUNIORS: Don’t forget to sign up for concessions with Mrs. Grimaldi in the art room. 

SGA will be hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, September 3rd.  Student government will be walking around at lunch today with a sign-up sheet for Friday’s blood drive.  If you miss them at lunch, please see Dallas Wright.  Athletes with games on Friday will not be allowed to participate in Friday’s blood drive.  Remember, you MUST have your photo i.d. or drivers license to donate. 

 

Parent Teacher Conferences- Beginning, Sept. 7th parents may begin calling to schedule parent/teacher conferences. We invite you to call Deb at 629-6003 ext 0 in the high school office between 9:00am and 3:00pm. Conferences are schedule for Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 15 and 16 from 4:30pm-8:30pm. When calling, we need parent name, student name, teacher/teachers you request to meet with, and a contact number for you to be reached once a schedule has been set up.  Deb will contact you with your conference times.

Riverton Sports Boosters will be selling Hawk Wear. Order forms can be picked up in the main office.  Orders are due back by Sept. 10.

For your convenience, Riverton CUSD #14 has contracted with RevTrak, a national credit card payment processor, to provide you the simple security and convenience of making online payments for school breakfasts and hot lunches.  You can make payments to your child’s lunch account using debit or credit cards through the “Family Access” tab at www.rivertonschools.org. There will, however be a $1.95 fee every time you make an online payment.  If you have any questions please contact Joni Marsh at 629-6003 ext. 8203.  For your login and password to your Family Access account, please call the main office at 629-6003 ext. 0.

The following seniors have not yet turned in any graduation cap and gown orders, please see Deb in the main office to receive the information to order: David Peters, Charlie Ruebling, Mickey Ryan, Nick Shaw, Krystal Sonsoucie, Jake Stancil, Ashley Terry, Ryan Tobin, and Taylor Turner.

Picture retakes will be Tuesday, September 14.  We will also take any senior athletes who missed getting their picture taken. See Mrs. Holliday in the library for picture forms.

 

SENIORS:  You must have your yearbook photo taken at Grussenmeyer’s Class Act Photography ASAP. We don’t have school on Friday September 17. Fall break would also be a great time to get this done (Oct. 4-15).  If you need information, see Mrs. Holliday in the library.
