What's Happening in Reading

2nd quarter in reading:
Students are focusing on nonfiction summarizing and connecting reading strategies this quarter in reading. Students are required to read approximately 60 minutes per week independently. This independent reading needs to be from a variety of genres including a narrative text at their level (as determined by MAP testing), a non-narrative text at their reading level, and a historical fiction text whose subject is related to their writing research paper topic.
