PDSA in 4-W

Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) is a four-step process that is intended to improve the process for learning.  The week's skill or learning objective is discussed in class as THE PLAN.  Students understand that this is what they are responsible for learning.  With teacher direction, my class will choose what they will DO in order to increase their knowledge of the skill or objective.  After an assessment is given, it will be STUDIED by the class and I.  We will determine if we met our goal (100% of the class achieving 80% or higher on the assessment) and what changes will need to be implemented to meet the goal.  This discussion will bring us to a new goal (or plan) and new activities or (dos) for the upcoming lesson.

We will be implementing PDSA in Spelling.
