Band Members Place at IHSA Solo and Ensemble
Kenny Smith Brings Home Two Division I Ratings

Riverton band members traveled to PORTA this weekend to participate in the IHSA Solo and Ensemble contest. Kenny Smith was awarded a Division I rating for his trumpet solo and as he also teamed with Neal Buck, Gehrig Wrincik, and Brandon Kietzman (who performed with a broken hand) to receive the same Division I rating for trumpet quartet. Zach Mapes and Matt Randall received a Division II rating for their drum duet. Congratulations to all the participants!
