Dear Parents/Guardians,
My name is Mr. Field, and I am the seventh grade special education teacher at Riverton Middle School. I have been the primary resource teacher in the seventh grade for the last three years and I have enjoyed serving the students of Riverton and their families during this time.
I will likely have your child in one of my classes this year. I teach Direct instruction Mathematics, Reading and Writing. I also have a one period of study hall and two periods of resource support in which students with IEP’s are able to come and get extra help, tests read, etc. in order to meet the requirements of their educational program.
My primary concern is to see that all of my students are successful in their classes and that they leave the seventh grade better prepared for their future. I hold high expectations for every child in my classes and I will do anything in my power to help them meet those expectations, as well as the expectations of their other teachers.
I am looking forward to this school year and I expect that it will be a great one! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email. I will always do my best to reply to your questions or comments in a prompt manner. I encourage your communication with me at any time, as I feel it is a necessary component in your child’s educational success. I appreciate you opinions and support and I hope that together we can make your son or daughter’s learning experience both enjoyable and successful this year.
