Riverton Elementary will offer Pre-K for 2010-2011

It is exciting to know that we are able to continue our preschool program this year. However, if you had a child attend last year s/he is NOT automatically enrolled for preschool this year. Every student (3 and 4, new and returning) need to register at the RES office for preschool. In order to register, we need to have registration papers filled out, health information, a certified birth certificate, and 3 proofs of residency. In addition, we will be holding a pre-k screening on August 12th in the afternoon and on August 13th. If you have a child that is 2 and ½ to 4 years old, that is not eligible for kindergarten, you can call the office at 629-6001 for a screening appointment. Children who are screened, who do not need further evaluation for possible special education services, and who will be 3 by September 1, 2010 will be able to start preschool this year.
