The 3 P's of Riverton Middle School Boy's Basketball:
Purpose - Everytime we step on the court, whether it's a game or practice, we must all have a common purpose. Play hard, play smart, play together, play with no regrets, and win.
Poise - All players, and coaches, must remain poised at all times. If a team presses and applies a lot of pressure, stay poised and protect the ball. When at the free-throw line late in the game, stay poised and make your shots. When you're tired late in the 4th quarter, stay poised and beat your man down the court.
Passion - Our players and coaches MUST be passionate at all times. This includes all practices in addition to games. Players need to love and be passionate about the sport they play, same for the coaches. If we play with passion, we play with heart. If we play with heart, we'll never, ever give up.
If we, as coaches and players, can use these 3 P's the fullest of our potential, in every practice and every game, then we will be a very difficult team to defeat!
