2022-10-28 - Locker Bid Questions & Answers

October 28, 2022

Contractors are invited to submit an offer to the Riverton Community Unit School District #14.  Offers will be received by Michaela Campbell, Business Manager, at the Riverton CUSD #14 District Office, located at 6425 Old Rt. 36, Riverton, IL 62561, before 10:00 am CST on November 30, 2022.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time.

 

The scope of the project includes replacement of student lockers at Riverton Middle School and Riverton High School.  Work will include the removal of existing lockers and installation of new lockers.  Bid documents should include estimates for freight charges.  The bid sheet for the project is included as Appendix A.  Pictures of the lockers at each building are included as Exhibits.

 

Riverton Middle School Specifications: 450 frames 12”x12”x60”, filler panels, tops, 27 ADA shelves, finish trim, number plates, and touch-up paint

 

Riverton High School Specifications: 317 frames, 12”x12”x72”, filler panels, 20 ADA shelves, finish trim, number plates, tops, and touch-up paint

 

OPTIONAL BID: Individual locks (either embedded or separate) for all lockers with estimated freight costs

 

Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission.

Deadline to Submit Questions for Clarification - November 8, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.

Deadline for Submitting Bids and Bid Opening - November 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.

Award of Contract - December 12, 2022 
 

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, or to waive any informalities in the bidding.

 

An executed copy of the Contract and a valid certificate of insurance shall be delivered to the Owner within ten days after the successful bidder has received Notice of Award of the contract.

 

The successful bidder must agree to conform to the current rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission, including prevailing wage.
